Jacob F. Morris is an actor and singer born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Jacob carries a Master of Arts in Musical Theatre from The University of Mobile and has 10 years of classical and commercial voice experience. He is an active performer in the Southern Region. Jacob is a vocalist and performer at OWA Parks & Resort. He will be playing “Max” in the Festival South regional production of The Play that Goes Wrong, this summer and “Ben Rogers” in the Everblue Arts regional production of Big River.
Jacob is the Owner of J. F. Morris Performance LLC, a production and performance company based in the Gulf Coast. Most recently, Jacob directed regional productions of The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Jacob is the Manager and Artistic Director at Bay Area Performing Arts, a youth theatre and lessons academy on the Eastern Shore in Daphne, AL. He is the founder of the annual theatre intensive “It’s A Theatre Thing!”. Jacob creates a positive and challenging environment for his students to learn, and most importantly, be themselves.
This “yankee” moved south to pursue his undergraduate degree at Spring Hill College. While there he founded the first collegiate a cappella group in Southern Alabama, Upper Room, which travelled nationally and even produced a single! This group has since traveled nationally and performed at various festivals and events. Their music is available on all streaming platforms globally. Jacob has had the pleasure of working with Citizen Queen , Acapop! Kids , and the Pentatonix Christmas Tour in New York City.
Jacob resides in the Gulf Coast Area with his puppies, Lola and Theo. He’s nerdy, eager, and actively pursuing his career in theatre.
